Professor David J. Goldberg teaches upper division courses on U.S. history in the 20th century, U.S. foreign policy and the history of immigration at Cleveland State University He received his BA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is the author of A Tale of Three Cities: Labor Organization and Protest in Paterson, Passaic and Lawrence (Rutgers University Press, 1989) and Discontented America - The United States in the 1920s (The Johns Hopkins University Press, 1999). He has also written numerous articles related to labor and immigration history. He is currently working on a new book dealing with Boston, baseball and American life in the mid-1950s.
